Ryan Laia is from Santa Fe, New Mexico, by way of Northern California. He’s attracted to character-driven existential dramas and stories involving marginalized communities.
After obtaining a degree in Latin American History at the University of California, Ryan continued his studies at New York University, University of Southern California and San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking.
His interest in storytelling eventually led him to London where he received a Masters in Screenwriting from the London Film School.
He lives and works in Los Angeles.
